As an Interior Designer this is the creative part of my day.....
Taking a vintage item that others think can't be saved and turning it into a useful well loved accessory makes us happy. I'm always amazed at the handmade pieces of artwork I find at the thrift store. So much time and love go into these pieces it's such a shame not to re-purpose them.

This is a photo of the tiger crewel picture before re-purposing it into a new custom one of a kind pillow. This incredibly detailed picture was found at a thrift store with a large water stain on the background fabric. I selected coordinating new fabrics and trim, and turned this forgotten treasure into a wonderful new accessory.
"Cutters"........what are they?
Holes are marked to salvage as much fabric as possible.
"Cutters" refer to vintage tablecloths that can no longer be used as they were intended because of holes or stains. We recycle these treasures into pillows, hand towels, potholders, aprons and more. The smallest scraps are used for our cutter-cards. Each item is handmade and becomes a special keepsake from the past.
